Presence / Reachability Presence / Reachability

Busy professionals often complain that colleagues disturb them at the most inconvenient times. But how are their colleagues to know? And when ís a good time to ask a question or make a call? Should they rather send an e-mail?

Most chat clients and communication platforms do offer the option to manually update and share a status, but such statuses are usually quite vague and not up-to-date.

Sense Solution
Sense developed the Sense Platform for smartphone and the Sense Desktop Sensor for personal computers. These applications gather sensor data from your devices, to help determine when you are (not) available.

CommonSense can learn to recognise what you are doing, when you are busy, and when you are available for calls and questions. These aggregated ‘states' can then be shared with colleagues that need to know where you are, what you are doing, and if you are reachable. CommonSense output can be used to provide accurate status-updates in any third-party software.

The same information can be used to keep track of activities and communication taking place in a project, for an automated and precise project administration.

Sensor feeds that help determine your presence and availability include:

Advantages:

  • Automatically share accurate status with a select group of people
  • Know where your colleagues are, what they are doing, and if they are reachable
  • Use CommonSense output in any third-party software
